The September 11th Attacks, The Story.

What Is 9/11?

The September 11 attacks (9/11) were four coordinated suicide terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda against the U.S. in 2001. Nineteen hijackers crashed planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania after passengers fought back. A total of 2,977 people were killed, making it the deadliest terrorist attack in history. In response, the U.S. launched the global war on terror to target terrorist groups and their supporting governments.
